About Us

Connecticut has a lot of older housing and a lot of private wells. Many homes outside the cities draw from bedrock wells that can carry iron, manganese, radon or arsenic, while city homes get surface water from reservoirs. Older houses may still have lead solder or galvanized pipe inside the walls. Clear Drop Filtration plans whole house water filtration in Middlefield, CT around those facts: sediment and carbon for city water, and a test-driven plan for wells. Where lead is a concern, a certified lead stage or an under-sink unit at the kitchen tap gives extra protection.
